It all began in 1932...
In the late 1920's, the government of Ontario became aware of the agricultural potential in this new frontier called Temiskaming. They hired a young agronomist, Milfred F. Cook, as an Agricultural Representative, to come north and help the farmers learn to grow new crops in a different climate area.
